Amaravati: Attributing the success to his team, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said that the state stood in the first rank in the ease of doing business (EODB) rankings because of the constant efforts of ministers, bureaucrats and other stakeholders in the government.
Addressing a press conference at his camp office in Vijayawada on Wednesday, the Chief Minister said he was just guiding them and they achieved it. “The AP emerged as leader in the ease of doing business and we will strive to retain it forever,” he added.
Stating that the state bagged first rank owing to implementation of reforms in a transparent manner, Naidu said  the innovative system being adopted in the state to increase industrialisation paved the way to win the first place.
The Chief Minister said that he was feeling very happy today in the wake of ease of doing ranking and for inauguration of Anna canteens and visit of Union Minister Nitin Gadkari to Polavaram project and also over stay order on Polavaram ‘stop work’ order.
Thought 29 states competed for the rank but  AP achieved 86.50 per cent satisfaction from investors, he said several reforms were introduced to attract industrial sector. The Chief Minister said the Singapore tour helped in a big way to attract investments and brand building.
The state government entered into 2,730 MoUs during three partnership summits to attract Rs 16,04,650 crore to provide employment opportunity to 34 lakh people, he added.
The Chief Minister said during his three day Singapore tour SMH Rail Corporation came forward to build metro rail in AP, the Royal Holdings of Lodha Group was ready to invest in real estate and Singapore was ready to develop smart cities in AP.
Condemning the criticism of YSRCP president YS Jaganmohan Reddy on favourable environment for the industrial sector in the state, Naidu said that they did not have any moral right to speak against the TDP government.
Stating that there was no industrial development in the state before 2014, he said for the last four years he had encouraged the global giants like Kia Motors and others to set their shop here.
“Jaganmohan Reddy see happiness in criticising, provoking, indulging in corruption and other such activities whereas I feel happy over development, providing transparent and efficient governance to people and creating positive environment for industries,” he said. Ministers P Narayana, Prathipati Pulla Rao, commissioner of industries Sidhartha Jain and others were present.
