Recently we shared a poster which confirms Nokia will be holding the press event on July 11th at 8:00 PM in China to announce X5. However hours before the announcement the company canceled the launch event and stated the X5 launch is delayed. The only reason shared by the company on the official Weibo account is related to the venue of the event.

The new launch date is yet not confirmed by the company, however, we can expect the company will reveal the next launch date pretty soon. We heard rumors that Nokia X5 will be globally announced as Nokia 5.1, same is the case with the Nokia X5 which is expected to go global as Nokia 6.1 Plus.

From what we heard so far the Nokia X5 will be featuring a notch like most of the latest smartphones. The device will feature a 5.86-inches IPS display with Full HD+ screen resolution. The display aspect ratio will be 19:9. Under the hood, the Helio P60 chipset is powering the device. The base variant is expected to have 4GB RAM with 32GB storage whereas the top of the line variant will have 6GB RAM with 64GB storage. It will support memory expansion via MicroSD. A 3,000mAh battery cell will be on board to keep its lights on. As OS the device will be pre-installed with Android Oreo 8.1 straight out of the box. The dual rear cameras will be 13MP+5MP whereas the front-facing selfie camera will be 8MP.

As far as pricing is a concern, the leaked poster reveals the base variant price tag of 799 Yuan whereas the top-tier model with 64GB storage will cost 999 Yuan.
